Okay…we know this is pretty obvious but that’s why we had to put it on here at number 1!! With the biggest snowfall to hit this part of the world in 35 years embrace and build the most creative snowman/woman you can…why not challenge the neighbours for some friendly competition?!

Build a Living Room Campsite
Creating a campsite in the living room is the perfect way to keep the kids entertained. Throw on your PJs, bust out the sleeping bags and get to telling stories. If you don’t have a tent, be creative and build a fort using blankets & couch cushions. Add in some hot chocolate & marshmallows and you’ve got the cosiest way to spend a snow day.

Make Some Homemade Play Dough
Did you know you can make colorful play dough from basic household baking ingredients?! It’s great fun and you could have all of the ingredients in the kitchen already! We found some pretty handy instructions right here! The Kids will LOVE it!

Feed the birds!

When it is snowing the birds have a harder time finding food.  Now’s your chance to help out and give the kids an educational something to do! You can roll a toilet paper or paper towel holder with some peanut butter and seeds (or even popcorn) and you have a homemade bird feeder!
